Chapter V
Quixote’s neighbor finds him on the road and takes him to
Quixote’s home where they find Quixote’s niece, housekeeper, and two friends,
the curate and village barber, discussing Quixote’s disappearance. All believe it is due to his incessant
reading of books about knights, and all agree the books should be abolished.
Chapter VI
The next day, while Quixote is still resting, his
housekeeper, niece, and two friends, the curate and barber, perform an examination
of the collection of books. Some they spare, but most books they suppose guilty and toss them into the pile to be
burned.
